Margaritaville the theme for club’s ‘Concert on the Water’

As the sun sets tomorrow, the music of Margaritaville by Jimmy Buffet will be blasting from Catfish Cove as the Canyon Lake Yacht Club holds its second Concert on the Water. The recorded music will feature Jimmy Buffet music recorded by the artist and covered by others.

The club invites all currently registered boats to participate in the slow cruise around the lake and join club members at Catfish Cove for fun festivities of conversation, swimming, food and drink. Club membership is not required to participate.

Boats are gathering at 5:00 p.m. tomorrow (Saturday) by the lodge courtesy dock and will depart together at 5:15 p.m. After departure, boats will follow the lead Yacht Club boat on a slow cruise around the main lake before tying up at Catfish Cove, in front of the concert boat which will be playing the Margaritaville music.

Boaters are encouraged to bring aqua pads, lilies or other water toys. Participants are also encouraged to bring beverages and appetizers, however, sharing between boats is not permitted in accordance with COVID-19 restrictions.

There is limited seating on the boats for interested walk-ons and the club encourages all participants to bring a mask and follow public health guidelines during the event.
