New Town Center ultrasound business opens

After accompanying her sister to her ultrasound baby appointment years ago, Canyon Laker Kayla Cypra was hooked. She changed her nursing major a week later and entered the school’s Diagnostic Medical Sonographer program. Now, with the education behind her, she has opened Sono Baby Ultrasound in the Canyon Lake Town Center.

Kayla runs the new business with the help of her husband and family and provides multiple pregnancy ultrasounds for her customers.

“After a couple months into nursing I found out I was going to be an auntie for the first time,” she said about the time she altered her career path. “I’d never been to an ultrasound before, and when I did, I fell in love with it right away!”

Kayla has been working in the ultrasound business for over seven years and is proud to now have a business of her own.

“What could be better everyday than sharing the most important time in a family’s life, being the first person to know their baby’s gender and be able to announce it to them?” she said. “I’m with parents as they see their baby’s heart beating for the very first time. These are the moments I cherish, daily!”
