Library offering limited services

Due to COVID-19 restrictions, Riverside County Libraries have cancelled all in-person programs until further notice. However, the Canyon Lake Library continues to offer some services to its patrons.
The library is currently closed to the public, but offers appointments for patrons during its Express Hours. Canyon Lake residents can call (951-244-9181) to schedule an appointment on Mondays, Wednesdays and Saturdays from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. in order to pick up their held items.
Once an appointment has been scheduled, the patron can meet a librarian near the book drops in front of the city municipal building. Both people need to wear a mask and maintain a distance of six feet from each other.
The library also offers free mobile printing. Patrons can send documents to the library’s printer via their smartphones or other devices and pick them up during Express Hours.
Now through Sept. 1, scavenger hunt sheets are available for children under 18 to compete for a prize. If patrons would like to participate in the Summer Reading Program, they can do so completely online by going to srp.rivlib.net.
