CL resident named Ortega High Student of the Month

Undeterred by schools being closed by the state’s Stay at Home order, the Lake Elsinore Valley Chamber of Commerce continues to reward its Students of the Month for the local school district. Canyon Laker Michael Roberson received the Student of the Month honor for the month of April. He is a student at Ortega High School in Lake Elsinore.

The honorees receive a certificate and gift basket from The Lake Elsinore Chamber of Commerce which continues to oversee the local program under the guidance of its founder, Sally Myers. Michael is being recognized for his outstanding efforts and contributions to his school and community. As a Student of the Month recipient, Michael will also be included in the Student of the Year Scholarship process.

“We truly appreciate the support and contributions of our sponsors and dignitaries for this program,” Donna Romo, the program’s communications coordinator, said. “We understand that this is a difficult time for all, including our students, and truly value the time and efforts of everyone involved.”
