CLPOA set for remote services

With COVID-19 closing the Canyon Lake Property Owners Association offices until the stay-at-home order is lifted, the association has made changes that will allow various tasks to be accomplished remotely.

The Canyon Lake POA already had in place many services that were available on its website, canyonlakepoa.com. It has taken all that was there before and is adding more services to be done online or by mail.

Also, the Canyon Lake POA staff wants the community to be aware that even though the doors are closed to in-person visits, staff members are still at work and taking phone calls, emails and online communications. Many are working remotely.

“We are closed, but we’re still here to take care of many member services,” a recent communication stated. “We are excited to present our new Online Member Services Center, your one stop shop for all of our current digital services!” That website is canyonlakepoa.com/754/Online-Services.

For those with boats and golf carts that need registrations renewed, the association will be sending out renewal letters by the end of April.

Boat and golf cart registration renewals begin on Monday. Registration renewal letters with information and instructions will be mailed out later this month. May is a grace period, which means that boat and golf cart registrations with April 30, 2020 decals may be used until June 1, 2020. For assistance with boat or golf cart insurance, call 951-244-6841 x313 after April 20.

Member assessment payments can be made online, by phone or by mail. Also, those wishing to make installment assessment payments can have them automatically debited from checking accounts by using the Automatic Payment Service (APS).

To sign up for APS, go to the website’s Form Center (member services).

The Canyon Lake POA Board Meetings have been closed to the public, but are broadcast and recorded. These meetings will be conducted only online until further notice. The website also has information regarding viewing options and how to access the streaming feed, including utilizing the Zoom meeting platform for “chat” options.

As the COVID-19 situation continues to affect the economy, the Canyon Lake POA said it is committed to offering assistance to members who are trying to navigate their way through sudden and unexpected changes in income.

“If you are experiencing financial difficulties,” the association said in its newsletter, “we may be able to tailor a payment deferral program to help you through this time. For more information, please contact our Accounting department at 951-244-6841 x315.”
