Hospice of the Valleys services still open

Hospice of the Valleys services will remain open during the COVID-19 crisis in order to assist its patients and their families.

“We do not know how long this order will remain in effect,” Leslee B. Cochrane, MD., Executive Medical Director, said, “but we want to reassure everyone that Hospice of the Valleys remains committed to partnering with our community and healthcare partners to provide ongoing access to hospice care throughout the duration of the stay at home order.

Hospice of the Valleys has provided hospice care to the Canyon Lake community for over 35 years.

“We want to reassure our patients and community partners that Hospice of the Valleys remains committed to providing compassionate end of life care to those patients and families who need us during this difficult and challenging time,” he said.

“Hospice of the Valleys will be following the CDC guidelines with regard to COVID-19 isolation precautions and will take all recommended precautions to optimize the safety of our patients and their families during the COVID-19 pandemic.”

Hospice of the Valleys will continue to provide regular updates and educational resources on its website to help its patients and community partners to better manage and navigate the special challenges created by the pandemic.
