JWC taking applications for scholarships

The Canyon Lake Junior Women’s Club, a philanthropic group of women whose primary focus is on the youth of Canyon Lake, is offering scholarships to students who have plans to further their education after graduating from high school.

Scholarships are given to students who plan on attending a trade school, a junior college or a 4-year college. Last year the club awarded scholarships to 14 local seniors.

Applicants must be residents of Canyon Lake to apply. Details for application requirements will be announced on March 1.

Applications will be accepted between March 5 through April 5. Interviews will be conducted April 18, 19, 25 and 26. Award recipients will be announced on May 1.
