Country music artist Phil Vassar will be belting out sweet melodies to a sold out crowd tomorrow (Saturday) in the Holiday Bay Room at the Lodge. The 6:30 p.m. concert kicks off the 2020 Canyon Lake “Concerts at the Lodge” concert series. This will be his last concert in California before he takes his music to Arizona and then across the nation to Virginia.

Phil made his appearance on the country music scene in the late 1990s. After co-writing singles for country music’s biggest stars, he was awarded the Country Songwriter of the Year in 1999. Later that same year, he began his recording artist career and has since placed 19 of his songs on Billboard’s Hot Country Songs charts. Two of his hits have made it to No. 1: 2000’s Just Another Day in Paradise and 2004’s In Real Love. Other hits include Carlene and American Child.

Opening the show will be the Kanan Road Band consisting of brothers Kanan, Kyle, and Kory Cox. They have opened for several national acts including Trace Atkins, Lonestar, Love & Theft, The Band Perry, Scotty McCreery and Josh Gracin.

Tickets for the remaining Concerts at the Lodge are available at Member Services and the Canyon Lake POA website. Those concerts are Heavy Metal iconic band LA Guns on April 25, New Wave rock legends The Babys on Aug. 8 and Canned Heat, a band that performed at Woodstock and considered one of the best rock and blues bands of all time, on Nov. 7.
