New Canyon Lake florist holds open house

The Creative Corner Flower Shop and Custom Gifts celebrated its grand opening Saturday in the Canyon Lake Town Center. The Creative Corner shares its space with the 24/7 Family Home Care Center which has been in business for 14 years.

The Creative Corner Open House included a free catered lunch sponsored by Kelly Kingman Catering, FanningsTacos and Lola’s Cupcakes. Freebies and gift certificates were provided by The Sports Stop, The Canyon Cowboy, Pepe’s Restaurant, California Styles, Khloe’s Baby Boutique and Spray Tans by Stephanie.

Megan Zimmerer-Horton is one of the owners and florist designers. Megan and the entire staff are so excited to watch the business “bloom” and put a smile on customers’ faces, she said. Lindsey Sell is also a floral designer and will be teaching classes on floral design which will include complimentary champagne. Leesa Crippen is in charge of office operations. Julie Zimmerer and Janelle Bashan are also co-owners and are excited about their new adventure.

Olse Bailey, a succulent designer, will also be conducting classes.The entire staff is looking forward to designing gifts and floral arrangements.  The gift shop also has a 3D-printer that will allow customers to create personalized items such as cake toppers, signs, coasters, cutting boards and many other items.

The Creative Corner also provides floral arrangements for weddings, birthdays, anniversaries or miscellaneous occasion. Take and go bouquets are available, as are custom arrangements designed by the on-staff designers.
