2020 concerts kick off with tribute to Eagles

The Canyon Lake Fine Arts Guild will kick off its 2020 season with an Eagles tribute performed by Desperado on Saturday, Jan. 18, at 7 p.m. in the Holiday Bay Room. General Admission tickets cost $25. VIP tickets cost $45. Tickets are on sale now at canyonlakeguild.org. General Admission tickets only can be purchased by check at the POA office.

Nationally recognized Desperado boasts a line-up of five lead singers and instrumentalists, some who have played with the Hall of Fame band itself. For the past 15 years, Desperado has strived for pin-point accuracy and care to deliver a completely live show, demonstrating their mastery of the timeless musical and lyrical arrangements of Eagles music.

Desperado founder Aaron Broering has played with Eagles guitarist Don Felder and Eagles co-writer J.D. Souther. Desperado, who recently returned from an East Coast tour, performs regularly at performing arts centers, large casinos, corporate events and outdoor concert festivals across the nation.

The audience will be treated to such timeless classics as “Hotel California,” “Take it Easy,” “Lyin’ Eyes,” “New Kid in Town,” “Take it to the Limit,” “Life in the Fast Lane,” “One of These Nights” and “Desperado.”

The Guild will also be featuring tributes to Crosby Stills Nash & Young on Mar. 28, Brooks & Dunn on May 30 and Queen on October 17. VIP Reserved Tickets are $45 and already 90 percent sold for the entire year.

General Admission tickets are $25, selling briskly, but still plentiful at this time. The Guild has sold out each tribute concert over the last four years, so early ticket purchase is highly recommended.

“We thank our community for selecting us as the 2019 Organization of the Year. The bar is now set very high but we welcome the challenge to meet or exceed expectations, so stay tuned for 2020,” said Fine Arts Guild President Ron Martel.

As a way of providing and promoting quality music in the community, the Fine Arts Guild will be hosting two free summer concerts for the community at the amphitheater at Holiday Harbor Park. Motown Night featuring the eight-piece ensemble Summerhill Soul will be held on June 20. A tribute to Journey on Aug. 1 will feature nationally recognized DSB, named World’s Greatest Journey Tribute by AXS-TV. More information on these events will be announced in the coming months.
