Show your holiday spirit in decorating contest

Canyon Lake residents are invited to let their holiday spirit shine by participating in the annual Holiday Home Decorating Contest sponsored by the Home Owners Club. Contest winners will receive a doorbell plaque.

This year’s categories are Humorous, Religious, Most Colorful, Best Street, Musical, Traditional and Best Mobile.

To be included in the contest, residents must submit their name, address and category to LaRue at yankee441@verizon.net on or before Dec. 13. The club will only be judging the homes submitted.

Home Owners Club President LaRue McNamara and her trusty elves will be cruising the streets of Canyon Lake to judge the homes on Sunday, Dec. 15 from 6 to 9 p.m. Participants are asked to turn on their lights during this time.
