It’s not too late to enter annual Parade of Lights

Canyon Lakers will be taking their parties to the water next weekend for the annual Parade of Lights on Saturday, Dec. 14, at 5:30 p.m.

The Yacht Club encourages boat owners to participate in this year’s parade. As an incentive, the club will be presenting cash prizes and awards for the best-decorated boats. The top-scoring boat will take home the coveted Commodore’s Award and $500 cash. Awards also will be presented for the best boats in the categories of Ski, Pontoon, Club, First Timer and Yacht Club.

There is no entry fee to participate; however, participants must submit an entry form. Participants who do not submit an entry form may participate in the parade but will not be eligible for prizes and awards.

The parade lineup starts at 4:30 p.m. at the East Port Park launch ramp. The parade starts at 5:30 p.m., traveling down the East Bay, through the tunnel and around the main lake. The parade will end at Holiday Harbor Park where Commodore Dave Dain will present the awards. For more information, contact Dave Dain at ddain297@gmail.com.
