Women’s Golf Club to host Christmas Tourney

The Women’s Golf Club invites its members and the members of the 9ers Golf Club to participate in its annual Christmas Tournament and Installation on Dec. 10 with a shotgun start at 8:30 a.m. The format is a 9-hole scramble with six players per team. Lunch will follow the tournament.

The entry fee is $40 and includes lunch. Signups are taken at the Golf Pro Shop. The registration deadline is Dec. 3.

The club is collecting toys for the Mattress Fire Foster Care Program again this year. Each player is asked to bring one unwrapped toy or item for a child of any age.

The Women’s Golf Club offers a friendly atmosphere in which golfers of all abilities can participate in equitable competition through proper handicapping, utilizing USGA standards. The club plays on Tuesdays. Check-in is at 7 a.m. in the Magnolia Room. Shotgun start at 8 a.m. Both residents and non-residents are welcome. Annual membership is $82. Membership forms are available in the Golf Pro Shop.
