Tyler Mrosek places 2nd in his first UTV race

Nine-year-old Canyon Lake resident Tyler Mrosek competed in his first UTV race at the 51st Lake Elsinore Grand Prix on Nov. 8. He took second place in his Carr One built Razor 170.

Tyler has been wanting to race since he attended his first off-road race at the age of two. Prior to racing in the Lake Elsinore Grand Prix, Tyler’s only experience was a 20-minute test drive in his new UTV.

The fourth-grade student at Cottonwood Canyon Elementary School said he wants to be an off-road racer when he grows up. He’s looking forward to racing in the DIRT series this winter.

Tyler is the son of Michele and Tyson Mrosek and grandson of Canyon Lake resident Brenda Mrosek. The family moved to Canyon Lake from Big Bear Lake 10 years ago.
