Treat yourself to Canyon Lake Woman’s Club Home Tour

Treat yourself to touring five Canyon Lake homes this holiday season on the Woman’s Club annual Holiday Home Tour on Saturday, Dec. 7, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. This year’s theme is “Twinkle Lights and Lake Life.”

The Holiday Home Tour features tours of five homes, vendors and an opportunity drawing. Tickets cost $15 and can be purchased by contacting Jan May at 951-970-8333. Vendor spaces are available and cost $40 per booth. For vendor information, contact Sue Collins at 951-246-2773.

The tour begins at 9 a.m. at the lodge where participants can pick up maps, enjoy refreshments, purchase opportunity drawing tickets and shop at vendor booths. The self-guided tour of the five homes starts at 10 a.m. and ends at 3 p.m. The opportunity drawing for the trees, wreaths and centerpieces will start at approximately 3:30 p.m. in the Holiday Bay Room at the lodge. These items go on display at the lodge on Nov. 23. Opportunity drawing tickets cost $1 each or $5 for six.

Each week leading up to the tour, The Friday Flyer will feature one home on the tour.

Home four features the three-story, six-bedroom, six-bath lakefront home of Sabrina and Allen Alt. The home, which normally has a California coastal farmhouse vibe, was recently renovated by the Alt family.

In the front, visitors will be greeted by a singing Santa. The deck offers breathtaking views of the East Bay. The basement features an oversized game room and workshop.

The kitchen is done in tones of Christmas green and showcases Sabrina’s Christmas village. At every turn, visitors will see carefully curated decor, from the cardinal bathroom to the buffalo check bedroom. Look for the Hallmark snowman collection, the “Reindeer School,” gingerbread workshop and sleigh navigation area.
