Helping Hands collects warm socks for seniors

The Canyon Lake based Helping Hands Group is hosting a sock drive for seniors during the month of October. Residents who wish to participate are asked to place two pairs of socks in a sandwich bag along with an inspirational note and drop them off in one of the Helping Hands Group collection bins located at Pack, Wrap and Post in the Canyon Lake Towne Center, Canyon Lake Community Church and My Buddies Pizza in Lake Elsinore.

Helping Hands Group volunteers will be distributing the socks to local seniors in November. Those who wish to shop online can purchase socks from the Helping Hands online store at shophelpinghands.us.

Helping Hands Group is a 501(c)(3) organization that delivers food locally to the disabled, elderly and people in crisis. The faith-based organization also offers assistance in the form of long-term and immediate relief with clothing, guidance, hands-on support and prayer.
