9ers hosts Murder on the Golf Course

The Canyon Lake 9ers Golf Club held its 3rd annual Murder on the Golf Course on Oct. 3. In addition to playing the game of golf with winners of Two Best Balls competitions, the lady golfers reenacted the game Clue on the golf course.

The golfers had to come up with answers to the clues at each of the nine holes played. As a result of determining the who, what, why and how, the following occurred: Kathy Homewood was murdered by Sandy Dawson with her driver on hole 3, then Sandy threw her into the bushes because of her jealousy of Kathy winning a championship round.

The winners are Kathy Sanchez, Linda Kielty, KK Beecher and Ura Furry, who also won first place in the Two Best Balls Net competition.

The event was organized by Sandy Dawson. Several players included golfers from the Woman’s Golf Club. “What a fun day,” said 9ers member Mavis Schutz.
