Say aloha to summer at Maui Monday

Break out your favorite Hawaiian shirt or hula skirt and celebrate the end of summer Hawaiian-style at the 7th annual Maui Monday on Sept. 2 from 5 to 9 p.m. at Sunset Beach.

Sponsored by the POA, Maui Monday features food, music, contests and performances.

DJ Mike Shroyer of Good Time Entertainment will provide the beach tunes along with dance, hula hoop and limbo contests. The POA will be handing out free leis.

Once the sun goes down, everyone is invited to gather on the beach to watch hula dancers, Samoan drummers and fire dances performed by the professional Polynesian Entertainment Group. Children and adults are invited to join in the dancing.
