Men’s 5.0 tennis team wins league championship

The Canyon Lake men’s 5.0 tennis team won four of their six games against the Claremont Tennis Club to win the league championship. The men played two doubleheaders in Canyon Lake and the final doubleheader in Claremont.

The team will be playing at Sectionals July 26 through July 28 in Orange County. This is the first men’s 5.0 team from Canyon Lake to make it to Sectionals. If they win, they will advance to Nationals.

The team is made up of the following nine players: Scott Carr, Phil Eraun, John Benner, Pete Walrod, Jeff Bivens, Aaron Willits, Edgar Aldahondo, Otis Allmon and Bobby Kielty.
