Member-Guest Tourney winners announced

Thirty-two club members and 56 guests participated in the Women’s Golf Club Member-Guest Invitational Tournament. This year’s theme was “Swing into Spring.” The format was Two Best Balls of the Foursome. The event began with breakfast at the country club, followed by golf, lunch, opportunity drawings and awards. The winners are as follows:

A Flight Gross

1st place: Elaine Brady, Darlene Cortez, Shirley Dowdie and Patti Miles.

1st place: Lorrie Sjomeling, Marsha Baum, Diane Cole and Dianne Schneider.

2nd place: Sue Sell, Becky Macvittie, Norma Yarbrough and Nancy Card.

3rd place: Sue Marshall, Eileen Davidson, Iola Lundy and Barbra Jess.

1st place: Marlene Cathro, Patricia Spencer and Barbara Weatherman.

The club thanks the Tournament Committee, Pat Kemball, Golf Pro Shop staff and country club staff for helping to make the tournament a success.

The Women’s Golf Club is a member of the Southern California Golf Association. The club meets on Tuesdays in the Magnolia Room at the country club between 7:00 and 7:30 a.m. to tee off at 8 a.m. for 18 holes of golf.

The club’s mission is promoted through camaraderie, social events, recognition and tournaments throughout the year.
