Former Canyon Laker earns Master of Science

Former Canyon Lake resident Henry Ellwood Brooks III, son of Sue and Henry Brooks of Canyon Lake, received his Master of Science in cybersecurity from Cal State University San Marcos on May 19.

Henry graduated from Temescal Canyon High School in 1999. He is a former member of Canyon Lake Troop 380, where he earned the rank of Eagle Scout, the Boys Scouts of America’s highest rank.

In addition to his master’s, Henry also has a bachelor’s degree in mathematics from Cal State University San Marcos. He is a veteran of the United States Coast Guard, where he served as an aviation electrical technician. He was stationed in Alaska for one year on the USCGC Sycamore and also served as an airman at Coast Guard Air Station Kodiak.

Henry works in the field of computer security in San Diego and resides in San Marcos with his wife Ingrid.
