Brian Witzel caught a large carp on Apr. 24 while fishing off the docks at Treasure Island. Brian used bread for bait. “The fish were schooling around the docks so I figured I’d make a dough ball and throw it at them,” said Brian. “As it was sinking, one of them took a bite and I set the hook. Eleven-year-old Gavin Garcia caught a bass weighing three pounds while fishing in the East Bay on Apr. 27.
He used coolbait, a rig he bought at the Fred Hall Show in San Diego.
