Jr. Women’s Club hosts community Wine Mixer

The Jr. Women’s Club hosted its first community Wine Mixer fundraiser on Saturday at Holiday Harbor Park. The event featured wine tastings, food from the Canyon Cowboy and the Urban Craft Eatery, live music featuring Moon Shot, vendor booths and a Cornhole Tournament.

Voted by the attendees, the “Favorite Theme” booth award went to Shari Blair-DiMond and Oralee Williams. Their California-themed wine booth featured wines from Wilson Creek and Tres Robles.

The winners of the Cornhole Tournament are Mark Stricklin and Nick Lawrence. They donated their winnings back to the club.

Proceeds from Wine Mixer will go toward the club’s scholarship program and other philanthropy projects.

The Jr. Women’s Club is a non-profit club that holds fundraising events throughout the year to help fund scholarship programs, help local families in need and donate to park improvements in Canyon Lake.

Meetings are held on the first Thursday of each month. For membership information, contact Heather Rose at 951-591-8168 or visit canyonlakejwc.org.
