Here’s what’s coming up at the CL Library

Miss Ginny’s Preschool Story Time, a program for children ages three to five, will meet today, Apr. 19, and on May 3 and 17 at 11:30 a.m. The every other Friday program includes an interactive story read by Miss Ginny, live music and movement activities.

Toddler Story Time will meet on Apr. 22 and 29 at 11 a.m. The program provides stories and social experiences for children ages three and younger. The program provides opportunities for young children to use their growing vocabulary and experience social interaction with other children. The program includes a craft to make and take home.

Play Day will meet on Apr. 29 from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. The program includes music and movement, a story, playtime, a craft to make and take home and light snacks.

The Jr. Book Club is for kids in grades fourth through seventh. The next meeting will be held on Wednesday, Apr. 24, from 4 to 5:30 p.m. The book selection for April is “Spy School” by Stuart Gibbs. Copies are available at the front desk at the library. The club welcomes new members.

The library’s Adult Book Club will meet on Monday, Apr. 29, from 4 to 5:30 p.m. The club is open to new members. The book selection for April is “All the Light We Cannot See” by Anthony Doerr. Copies are available at the front desk at the library.

The library’s Roots to Grow program offers free homework help for students on Wednesdays from 4 to 6 p.m. and Saturdays from 10 to 11 a.m. High school students earn volunteer credit for assisting younger children in their studies. Students wishing to volunteer as a helper or to come in for help should contact the library in advance to express their interest.

Exciting new programs are coming to the Canyon Lake Library this summer. Keep an eye out for Tech Time debuting in May and the 2019 Summer Reading Program in June.

Located inside the City Hall building at 31516 Railroad Canyon Rd., the Canyon Lake Library offers programs for all ages. Library programs are free; however, a library card is needed to check out material. Library cards are free, replacement cards cost $1.The library is open Mondays from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m., Wednesdays and Fridays from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. The library is closed on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Sundays.
