Letters: Speak to the Candidates

As the POA elections near, we have an opportunity to vote for three open positions on the board of directors. We can learn more about our candidates from many sources, such as The Friday Flyer. Sometimes, it’s not so much what is said, but how they say it. Therefore, I encourage all interested homeowners to attend Speak to the Candidates this coming Monday, Apr. 8, at 7 p.m. at the lodge (televised and rebroadcast).

For the last six years, this event has been sponsored by 27 Canyon Lake clubs and organizations, representing hundreds of homeowners with common interests in our community. You are invited to attend this session to ask your questions directly and/or submit a written question to hear how each plans to represent us. You can also gain an appreciation for the challenge these volunteers could have, on our behalf.

The next evening, Tuesday at 6 p.m. the Canyon Lake Chamber of Commerce will be holding Meet the Candidates, a similar event, in the Magnolia Room of the country club. Whichever you attend, please vote for the candidate of your choice. We should all be grateful for these candidates trying to make Canyon Lake a better place to live.
