Community Clean-Up to be held on Saturday

Sponsored by the City of Canyon Lake and CR&R, the Community Clean-Up provides an opportunity for Canyon Lake residents to conveniently dispose of their junk and bulky items, such as furniture and appliances. Business and commercial dumping is not allowed.

This event will be held tomorrow, Apr. 6, between the hours of 8 a.m. and 2 p.m. in the parking lot of Canyon Lake Community Church at 30515 Railroad Canyon Rd. Proof of residency is required this year (driver’s license and utility bill), which should help eliminate the long lines and wait times that residents experienced last year.

The following items will be accepted:

Furniture: sofa beds, couches, tables, chairs, mattresses, box springs, patio furniture, etc.

Yard waste: clippings, tree trimmings and branches.

Large appliances: washing machines, dryers, refrigerators, stoves, water heaters, dishwashers, air conditioners, etc.

E-waste: televisions, computers, laptops, printers, microwaves, copiers, fax machines.

The following items will not be accepted:

car parts, tires, household hazardous waste and construction material. These items may be disposed at the Household Hazardous Waste City Maintenance Facility at 521 N. Langstaff St., Lake Elsinore, on the first Saturday of each month, except January and July, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.
