The Canyon Lake Lions Club invites the community to golf for charity at its 29th annual Charity Golf Tournament on Thursday, Mar. 28.
The entry fee is $60 and includes banquet and awards. Green fees are $29, cart fees are $15. Signups are taken at the Golf Pro Shop at the country club or by contacting Phil Coughlin at 951-805-0223 or Pat Kemball at 951-246-1782. The registration deadline is Mar. 22.
Check-in starts at 10:30 a.m. The Putting Contest starts at 11 a.m. Shotgun start at noon.
This year’s tournament offers two formats. The four-person scramble is open to all players, with or without a handicap. Players may pick their own foursome or be placed with a foursome. The Pro-Am event is open to all players with a handicap. Three amateurs will be paired with a pro for a team in a two-best ball format.
For a $5 donation, anyone landing in the circle on hole 15 in one shot will receive $50 for landing in the smaller circle or $25 for landing in the larger circle. There will be a Putting Contest for $2 and a Longest Drive Contest between two lines on hole 14 for both men and women. Closest to the Pin awards will be given on hole 8 to women in two shots, hole 17 to men in one shot and hole 11 to pros in one shot.
