Canyon Lake student honored at Student of the Month luncheon

Canyon Lake student Spencer Massicot is among seven Student of the Month Program honorees feted at a recognition luncheon in February.

The 17-year-old Elsinore High School senior has a 4.0 GPA. In addition to his school studies, Spencer is a teen columnist for The Friday Flyer and works part-time at Storm Stadium.

In his spare time, Spencer enjoys reading, researching travel and hanging out with friends.

After graduation, Spencer plans to attend the University of California at San Diego, with a major in sociology. His career goal is to become an international aid developer, to travel and serve in foreign nations where capital and other resources are badly needed to improve living conditions.

Spencer is the only child of Lori and Bill Massicot. The family moved to Canyon Lake six years ago.

The Student of the Month Program was originally founded in 1992 by Sally Myers, BMW Management, Inc. The Lake Elsinore Valley Chamber of Commerce is the Lake Elsinore host and sponsor.
