CL City Council recognizes leading citizens

The City of Canyon Lake honored the Community Award recipients, Veterans Day sponsors and teen Ethan Clark during the Feb. 6 City Council Meeting.

Mayor Larry Greene presented proclamations to The Friday Flyer, Business of the Year; Jordan Ehrenkranz, Citizen of the Year; Lyne Hall, Volunteer of the Year; Ryan Hosking, Youth of the Year; and the Canyon Lake Fine Art’s Guild, Organization of the Year.

The city honored Canyon Lake teen Ethan Clark for his accomplishments and commitment to the community. The Temescal High School senior is active in the community as a Riverside County Fire Explorer and has been training and preparing himself for a career in fire service for the past three years.

Continuing from the January meeting, former Mayor and current Chair of the Veterans Committee Vicki Warren finished up the distinguished list of Veterans Day supporters by honoring the Canyon Lake Choraleers, Canyon Lake Property Owners Association, Canyon Lake Emergency Preparedness Committee and the Canyon Lake Association of Men.

Also honored but not in attendance were the Ladies of the Lake, Cub Scout Troop 346 and the Canyon Lake Homeowners Club.
