Mark calendars for upcoming Easter carnivals

March 19 – Glow-in-the-Dark

On Saturday, March 19, from 6 to 9 p.m., the Family Matters Club will be holding its second annual Glow-in-the-Dark Easter Egg Hunt at Holiday Harbor. The event will include free carnival games, crafts, face-painting and other surprises.

Food, snacks and drinks will be available for purchase, and there will be a drawing for prizes. Rabbit Rescue, Inc. will be on hand with bunnies for the kiddos to pet. Highlights of the event will be the glow-in-the-dark Easter egg hunt followed by a family big-screen movie showing of “Hop.”

High schoolers needing volunteer hours are encouraged to help out. Canyon Lake Family Matters is a President’s Award Provider, so volunteer hours can count towards this award. Call Jenny Teperson at 951-552-0055 or email clfmclub@aol.com.

March 26 – Easter Carnival

Then on Saturday, March 26, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., the Jr. Women’s Club will host the annual Easter Carnival and Egg Hunt at Holiday Harbor.

This long-standing Canyon Lake tradition includes an Easter “egg” hunt (with golf balls provided by the Men’s Golf Club), prizes, children’s games, bounce houses, vendors, food, music and more.

This event also could use the help of teenage volunteers. To volunteer or for more information, contact Alissa Rackstraw at 951-265-4325 or Heather Rose at 951-591-8168.
