Members of the Canyon Lake Car Club have been racking up the awards at various car shows the past few months. The criterion for membership in the club is to own one or more pre-1973 automobiles or trucks.
At the group’s most recent monthly meeting on July 9, some 65 members enjoyed the annual Mystery Garage Tour, which included an ice cream sundae bar at the home of Sam and Joyce Theodora.
The club normally meets at the Lodge the first Thursday of every month, at 6:30 p.m.; and also rallies for breakfast the third Saturday of the month at the Canyon Lake Country Club. It’s at that monthly breakfast that members can enter their car for a chance to win Car of the Month.
In addition to meetings and shows, the Car Club hosts the annual Canyon Lake Car Show at the Lodge, usually held the first or second Saturday in October. This year’s 10th anni
versary show will be on Saturday, October 10. The first 250 registrants will receive an event T-shirt, goodie bag and dash plaque. Registration, vendor applications and more information about the club can be found at canyonlakecarclub.com.
