Young women invited to run for Royal Court

The Miss Canyon Lake Scholarship Pageant will take place on August 29, at 7 p.m., at the Canyon Lake Lodge. The next signup date is July 13, at 6:30 p.m. in the CLPOA Conference Room, located at the CLPOA building in the Towne Center. The last day to sign up will be August 3. The theme for this year’s pageant is “The Sixties.”

Director CoCo Morrison explains that this program emphasizes the ability of the Royal Court and Talent Court to participate in community service, volunteer service and education. All Miss and Teen contestants will be required to have interviews and know facts about their community. Miss Canyon Lake contestants must present a platform outlining a community service or volunteer program that they will actively promote within Canyon Lake.

There is a separate Talent Competition portion of the program; however, this is not a requirement to be in the Pageant. Talent competition is optional. For more information, call CoCo at 951-204-7777.
