The Canyon Lake ShowCal Skiers Club is looking for someone to be its ski show announcer. As Show Director Cherie Schiafone says, “We are looking for the ‘host or hostess with the mostess’!” No experience is necessary; just a willingness to learn.

This is a chance to be a part of Canyon Lake water sports action without even getting wet! Anyone interested in being the master or mistress of ceremonies is invited to call Cherie at 239-707-6002.

ShowCal Skiers once again is performing at Fiesta Day! They also will perform their first regular show for 2015 at the Jump Lagoon on Sunday, May 24, at 5 p.m. At that time, they will introduce their new mascot, “Sammy Show Skier,” the talented hot dog sure to be “children’s best friend.” Ski Shows are scheduled for every other Sunday, through the month of June.

ShowCal Skiers has just launched its 2015 Sponsorship Program and is in need of community support and corporate sponsors! The Club has huge equipment requirements – basic items a water ski show team uses to function like a well-oiled machine. The items have been listed on the website so donors may choose how their gift is utilized.

ShowCal Skiers’ 2015 raffle is now underway as well. Many prizes will be awarded along with the grand prize of an AquaLily Pad valued at $499. Tickets are $5 and can be purchased from ShowCal Skiers Club members up to the time of the drawing. Winners need not be present.

The drawing will take place Sunday, July 5, at 6 p.m., immediately following the final Jump Lagoon Ski Show. For more information, visit
