Lioness deliver 158 pounds of pull-tabs

Eight Lioness delivered the club’s annual collection of pull-tabs to Ronald McDonald House in Loma Linda on Friday, May 1. After delivering the pull-tabs, the Lioness were offered a tour of Ronald McDonald House, which they were thrilled to take.

According to spokesperson Joanna Spiller, it was so interesting to learn what occurs at the House, Lioness Barbara Weatherman made arrangements for one of the personnel to speak at the Lioness meeting on May 21. After the tour, the group took a picture with the Ronald McDonald statue outside the House.

The Lioness collect the pull-tabs and receive donations of pull-tabs from community members throughout the year. This year they received two larger donations. Canyon Lake Middle School students donated 91 pounds of pull-tabs, and Gigi and Clarence Todd donated 26 gallon containers of pull-tabs.

The Lioness will begin accepting donations again next spring. Residents are invited to save the pull-tabs from their beverage and food containers.
