Letter: David Eilers

Editor, The Friday Flyer:

I have known Dave Eilers for most of the 13 years he has lived in Canyon Lake. His career in finance and insurance has given him a strong background that can be readily applied to city management. Dave has been a member of the Canyon Lake Emergency Preparedness Committee for over 10 years, which is a City of Canyon Lake committee where he currently serves as treasurer.

Dave was a CLPOA Board Member for four years. During that time, he worked on the road-paving project, refurbishing all our parks with new playground equipment, the Operations restroom, the Lodge remodel and acoustics, community docks, the Golf Course Turf Reduction Program, the Lake Lease, and the Main Gate.

With his strong financial background, he had as a goal to keep dues low while moving projects forward to give the community a new look. He currently serves on the Finance Committee and the FRC Committee.

As Board President, Dave attended many Canyon Lake City Council meetings to look for opportunities for the City and the POA to work together. He became familiar with City government and attended the EVMWD, City and POA monthly Roundtable. He has made himself aware of our lake issues and studies the scientific information available from the watershed stakeholders.

Dave is a hard worker, dedicated to the future of Canyon Lake. Once the City has embarked on a task, Dave will work diligently to get the job done. He is hands on and has a solution-oriented personality. He listens to a broad range of individuals in the community, and he does not have a private agenda.

Vote for Dave, a proud Canyon Laker and experienced public servant, whose honesty, integrity and diligence are fundamental for this community moving forward.
