Letter: George Middle

I support Dr. George Middle for City Council. George and I have been friends and business advisors for many years. George and I talked about setting up contract emergency medical services in Canyon Lake. We explored the EMT volunteer services from my home town at www.highland.gov. I met with Fire Chief Brian Wilson, who oversees a full functioning EMS fire and services for the surrounding areas.

In Canyon Lake we have 80 calls a month for EMS. Seventy eight out of 80 require a need for medical transport services and not a fire department with personnel to show up when an ambulance is what’s needed.

We are going to recommend contracting for emergency medical services and the caller will be billed for the transfer to the medical facility, which is no different from today except that we are not billed by Cal Fire.

George and I will be working closely together with an EMS services model as is done by Highland Fire Department, which has been a successful service provider for over 40 years. Please cast your vote for Dr. George Middle, businessman for City Council.
