Lynn Jensen named 2024 Fiesta Parade Grand Marshal

Former Canyon Lake POA Assistant General Lynn Jensen has been chosen as the Grand Marshal for the 2024 Fiesta Parade. This honor recognizes her 23 years of dedicated service to the community before leaving recently for a general manager position at a neighboring homeowners association.

Lynn’s career with the Canyon Lake POA was marked by her unwavering commitment and impactful leadership. Starting in the Member Services and Planning & Compliance departments, she quickly rose through the ranks, eventually taking on the mantle of Activities Director. In this capacity, she managed various community functions including pool operations, equestrian activities, campgrounds, clubs, and senior center initiatives.

Her academic background in Social & Behavioral Sciences and Liberal Studies, coupled with over three decades in customer service, greatly enhanced her ability to manage community relations effectively.

Known affectionately as an honorary Canyon Lake historian, Lynn was instrumental in imparting essential knowledge about the community’s history and operations to her team, emphasizing the importance of the human element in business.

Throughout her tenure, she oversaw critical areas such as human resources, member services, planning and compliance, facility scheduling, and community events, among others. Her collaborative efforts with the General Manager and the Board of Directors were crucial in developing and implementing policies that enhance community life.

Lynn’s professional achievements include certifications as a Certified Manager of Community Associations (CCAM) and in Large-Scale Community Management (CCAM-LS). Her service record extends beyond the professional sphere, marked by a notable tenure in the United States Navy, which instilled a deep-seated work ethic and commitment to excellence.

The 2024 Fiesta Parade offers a fitting venue to honor Lynn’s substantial contributions to Canyon Lake. The community looks forward to celebrating her legacy and continued influence during the festivities.
