Canyon Lake POA reworks leadership structure

The Canyon Lake Property Owners Association has announced a strategic reorganization following the resignation of Assistant General Manager Lynn Jensen earlier this year. The new structure aims to enhance service delivery to members and adapt to evolving operational demands, Canyon Lake POA General Manager Eric Kazakoff said.

Eric led a thorough assessment of the Canyon Lake POA’s workload distribution, which led to the decision to adopt a director model. This model will include the introduction of two new positions: Director of Corporate Administration and Director of Community Services, alongside the existing Director of Operations and Director of Finance.

Harmony McNaughton, who has been with the Canyon Lake POA since 2007 and has been involved in its corporate governance for a decade, will fill the new role of Director of Corporate Administration.

This position will oversee corporate business functions, including Corporate Administration, Clerk of the Board, Planning & Compliance, Hearing Services, Community & Marine Patrol, and Corporate Communications.

Tiffany Cribbs, currently the Communications Manager with over 10 years at the Canyon Lake POA, will transition to the role of Director of Community Services. She will be responsible for Member Services, Activities & Recreation, the Pool, and Community Communications.

Additionally, James Trask will assume the newly renamed position of Director of IT, and Andrea Moreno will take on the role of Clerk of the Board, succeeding Harmony.

The food and beverage departments, with a workforce of 96 across two venues, will continue to be managed collaboratively by Eric, Director of Finance Susan Dawood, and Human Resources Manager Lisa Harden. The reorganization also includes the appointment of a new Community Patrol Manager, who will manage Hearing Services and oversee Marine Patrol, as directed by the Board of Directors.

This strategic shift is viewed by the Canyon Lake POA as a significant opportunity for internal growth, enhancing efficiency, and fostering professional development among staff. General Manager Eric Kazakoff expressed confidence in the restructure.

“Lynn is leaving big shoes to fill,” Eric said. “But, I am confident that this restructure will ensure a smooth transition into this new era and new structure.”
