Celebrate Earth Day at CL’s Community Garden

The Canyon Lake Community Garden will host an Earth Day event filled with engaging, eco-friendly activities for families and individuals of all ages. Scheduled for 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at the Community Garden and the adjacent lawn, this event promises a day of environmental education and fun.

Attendees can look forward to a variety of free activities designed especially for kids, including crafting Mini Fairy Gardens, making Pinecone Birdfeeders, engaging in a Worm Search, and creating Seed Bombs. These activities are not only fun but also serve to educate young minds about the importance of caring for our planet.

In addition to the activities, the Community Garden will be open for tours, allowing community members to explore the garden’s diverse plant life and learn more about local gardening efforts. A seed giveaway will also be part of the event, encouraging attendees to start or expand their own gardens at home.

Furthermore, in the spirit of Earth Day, there will be a recycling drive. Community members are invited to bring their used recyclables to the event, contributing to a collective effort to reduce waste and promote sustainability.
