Tennis Area Shade Project preps for structures

The Tennis Area Shade Project adjacent to the Tennis Court Complex will add tables for gatherings and other activities. The project is underway and during the construction phase, residents are advised for their safety to steer clear of the construction site.

While efforts are being made to minimize disruptions, access to lights on Courts 3, 4, 5, and 6 may be intermittently unavailable at certain times throughout the construction project. The enhancements include the addition of two new shade structure pavilions.

One pavilion will feature a built-in barbecue and six picnic tables under a shade canopy, creating an ideal spot for outdoor gatherings.

The second pavilion aims to replace an older structure, providing extended coverage and adding more viewing bleachers, thereby improving the experience for tennis spectators. Moreover, the installation of a new ADA ramp will promote accessibility, ensuring all community members can enjoy the facilities.

The Tennis Area Shade Project is expected to be completed by early summer, bringing significant improvements to the community‘s recreational offerings. These updates will not only enhance the aesthetic appeal and functionality of the tennis area, but also provide a more comfortable and accessible environment for both players and spectators.

Residents are encouraged to stay tuned for further updates as the project progresses toward its completion. The community‘s understanding and cooperation during this time are greatly appreciated, the Canyon Lake POA said, as these enhancements promise to provide lasting benefits for all who enjoy Canyon Lake‘s tennis facilities.
