CL Family Matters Club’s Lucky Duck Derby Sunday

There’s still time to order up some adopted rubber duckies to participate in Sunday’s Canyon Lake Family Matters Club 4th Annual Lucky Duck Derby at 3:00 p.m. at the Canyon Lake Lodge Pool.

This family-oriented event invites the Canyon Lake community to participate by adopting rubber ducks for a spirited race, with prizes awaiting the winners.

Ducks for the race can be adopted through the club’s website at www.familymattersclub.org, with adoption packages starting at $3 for a Single Duckling to $20 for a Box of Quackers. Each adoption includes a certificate with the duck’s number, and adopters are encouraged to name their ducks and share on social media.

The proceeds from the Lucky Duck Derby will support the Family Matters Club’s philanthropic activities within the community, including the upcoming Easter Carnival on March 24 and Super-Hero Training Day on May 5.

The race day will see the adopted ducks making their way across the pool, helped along by water hoses, with the first five ducks earning prizes for their adopters. Although physical attendance at the event is restricted to sponsors, the race will be live-streamed on the club’s Facebook page, allowing the wider community to join in the fun virtually.

Individuals interested in supporting this community event as a sponsor are invited to contact the Family Matters Club at 714-394-4885 or via email at info@familymattersclub.org.

More information, including details on sponsorship opportunities, can be found on the club’s website under the duck derby section.
