Yacht Club sets sail for 2024 with potluck event

The Canyon Lake Yacht Club is gearing up for an exciting year ahead with its inaugural event of the season, a potluck gathering set for tomorrow at 2:00 p.m. at Holiday Harbor. This event promises to be a delightful mix of good food, camaraderie, and valuable information for both existing and prospective members.

Attendees will be treated to a spread of potluck dishes, alongside booths packed with essential details about the club’s offerings and activities. One of the highlights of the day includes a membership booth where individuals can learn about the two membership tiers available this year and can pick up applications.

The booth will also offer insights into the club’s affiliations with the prestigious Yachting Club of America and the Southern California Yachting Association, both of which enhance the benefits of membership.

Furthermore, the club will present an opportunity for members to order their own Canyon Lake Yacht Club burgees, a symbol of their affiliation, to be proudly displayed on boats and golf carts. Information on obtaining the mandatory California Boaters ID card will also be available, outlining the necessary steps to secure this essential credential for boating in Canyon Lake.

An events booth will detail the club’s 2024 calendar, inviting members to sign up as volunteers for various activities throughout the year. This initiative aims to foster engagement and ensure the success of the club’s planned events.

Merchandise showcasing the club’s range of clothing and gear will also be on display, offering a sneak peek before the official launch of online orders in March. The updated merchandise section on the club’s website will facilitate orders, ensuring members are outfitted in club gear by April.
