9er’s Golf Club offers Student Athlete Scholarship

The Canyon Lake 9er’s Golf Club is now accepting applications for its Student Athlete Scholarship, slated for awarding in May.

This scholarship aims to support outstanding student athletes within the Canyon Lake community who excel academically and are actively involved in sports, school activities, and community service.

Eligible applicants must be Canyon Lake residents, boast a minimum 3.5 GPA, and demonstrate significant involvement in both school sports teams and community service efforts.

Since its inception in 2017, the Canyon Lake 9er’s Golf Club, with contributions from the local golf community and Canyon Lake businesses, has successfully raised over $60,000 for scholarships, benefiting the community’s scholar athletes.

Interested students are encouraged to pick up an application form from the Canyon Lake Golf Pro Shop. The application process requires the completion of a “Brag Sheet,” an essay, and recommendations from both a teacher and a coach. Selected candidates may also undergo an interview with the Scholarship Committee.
