Dam Maintenance

The Elsinore Valley Municipal Water District (EVMWD) started vital maintenance work on the Railroad Canyon Dam late last month and will continue for the next several weeks.

The project, aimed at servicing underwater hardware crucial for valve operations, involves intermittent activities utilizing EVMWD’s pontoon boat, barge, and a team of support personnel, including divers, around the dam‘s edge and boat dock. This maintenance is essential for ensuring effective isolation and control of water flow during discharges.
