Phase 3 of Pavement Improvement Project begins Monday in Canyon Lake

Phase 3 of The Canyon Lake Property Owners Association Pavement Improvement Project is scheduled to begin on Monday. This phase will focus on improving roads including San Joaquin Drive West (south), Yosemite Place, Giant Fir Place, and San Joaquin Drive East (after Yosemite Drive intersection).

Work during Phase 3 will occur Monday through Friday from 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

During these hours, roads undergoing reconstruction will be closed to both vehicular and pedestrian traffic. Residents and visitors are advised to plan accordingly for these closures, the Canyon Lake POA asks.

This project is part of the second year of the POA’s ambitious $7.8 million Pavement Improvement Project, aimed at enhancing the condition of all 37 miles of roads within the community. Phase 1 of the project has been completed, and Phase 2 is currently in progress.

The project’s goal is to address roads that are currently in fair to poor condition, ensuring safer and more durable roads for the community. Regular updates on the project’s progress will be provided, keeping residents informed of ongoing improvements.

Additionally, the Board has allocated $301,790 for concrete cross gutter and curb and gutter repairs. This funding is in addition to the $7.8 million allocated for asphalt reconstruction, bringing the total value of road repairs this year to approximately $8.1 million.
