Canyon Lake POA announces its Year 2 of major Pavement Project

The Canyon Lake Property Owners Association is progressing into the second year of its extensive Multi-Year Pavement Improvement Project. This ambitious initiative aims to enhance the pavement conditions across all 37 miles of roads within the community, addressing areas that are currently in fair to poor condition.

Phase 1 of the project, which includes improvements on Old Wrangler Rd., Burning Tree Dr., and Pyramid Point Dr., is currently underway. This marks a significant step towards improving the community’s infrastructure, ensuring safer and more durable roads.

Phase 2 began on Monday and will encompass several key areas including San Joaquin Drive West (north-bound), Inspiration Point, Buttercup Place, Granite Dome Place, Green Pine Drive, Mammoth Place, San Joaquin Drive East, Snow Water Place, and Lupin Place.

Residents can expect temporary street closures and no parking zones to be enforced, with signs posted 48 hours prior to the commencement of work in these areas. It’s also important to note that construction equipment setup might begin 3 to 5 days before the start of the phase, potentially impacting parking.

Residents living on the streets included in Phase 2 will receive an email notification from the Canyon Lake POA one week in advance of the phase starting. For detailed information and updates, members are encouraged to visit www.clpoa.com/y2phase2. Additionally, the POA advises all members to sign up for road notices and verify their contact information for timely updates.

This year’s road repairs encompass a substantial investment of $7.8 million in asphalt reconstruction. Additionally, the Board has approved $301,790 for concrete cross gutter and curb and gutter repairs, bringing the total value of road repairs to approximately $8.1 million.
