Elsinore Valley Municipal Water District wins awards for communication excellence

The Elsinore Valley Municipal Water District, which provides water to almost all of the residents in Canyon Lake and leases the lake surface to the Canyon Lake POA, has achieved recognition by securing prestigious Polaris Awards in three categories from the Public Relations Society of America, Inland Empire Chapter (PRSA-IE). These awards acknowledge outstanding achievements in public outreach and communications.

EVMWD’s receipt of the Polaris Awards, the highest honors in each respective category, underscores its commitment to excellence in public relations. The awards celebrate the best in strategic communication, encompassing sound research, planning, execution, and evaluation.

“We are honored to receive this recognition once again,” EVMWD General Manager Greg Thomas said, . “Our focus on transparent and dedicated communication is vital to our public service commitment. These awards are a testament to our exemplary employees and their adherence to our core values.”

The district was recognized for its innovative “The SCUUP” podcast in the Audio/Visual Tactics category, the “Septic to Sewer” Community Relations Campaign, and for its Digital Tactics in Social Media during “Water Professionals Appreciation Week.”

This year marks the 14th consecutive year EVMWD has been honored by PRSA-IE, reflecting its sustained excellence in communication and public relations.
