Woman’s Club celebrates with festive meeting

The Canyon Lake Woman’s Club hosted its general meeting and Christmas program at the Canyon Lake Country Club last week, with over 70 members participating in the festive event. The gathering featured a variety of activities, from dancing with Santa to free raffles and a special musical performance.

Members had the opportunity to dance and take pictures with Santa, adding a joyful and interactive element to the meeting.

The event also included a performance by Ken Skidmore, a talented Canyon Laker and member of The Canyon Lake Choraleers. Ken delighted the audience with his rendition of the classic holiday song, “I’m Dreaming of a White Christmas,” including inviting a member from the front row to join him for a dance.

The program concluded with Club President Samantha Gorrell and Vice President of Programs Aprile McKinnon leading the attendees in an act-out of the song “The Twelve Days of Christmas.” This engaging activity was a highlight for many members, adding to the spirit of community and celebration.

In addition to the meeting’s program, members enjoyed vendor shopping and a group lunch at the Country Club, with approximately 55 members staying to dine together.

The Canyon Lake Woman’s Club, known for its community involvement and philanthropic efforts, meets on the third Wednesday of each month. The club invites those interested in joining to reach out via email at canyonlakewomansclub@gmail.com. The next meeting, hinting at the theme “A Whole New You,” promises to bring more exciting and engaging activities for its members.
