CL Theatre group seeks new board members, announces holiday show

The Canyon Lake Community Theatre (CLCT) is inviting local residents with a passion for theater to join its board. As the CLCT board meeting elections approach, those interested in contributing to the local arts scene are encouraged to submit their candidacies.

Individuals with theater experience or a keen interest in the functioning of the local theater are asked to send a letter of intent to canyonlaketheatre@gmail.com by Dec. 1. The letter should introduce the candidate and explain why he or she wishes to join the board. Candidates must be available to attend the next board meeting on Dec.r 6 at 6:30 p.m. where the current board will conduct elections.

In addition to the call for board members, CLCT is excited to announce its upcoming dinner and show event, “Finding Christmas.” This original production, written by Canyon Lake residents, is set to debut in the Canyon Lake Lodge Holiday Bay Room.

“Finding Christmas” is an all-ages production that promises to bring holiday cheer with its rendition of beloved musical classics. The show will have two performances. The first, on Dec. 15 at 6:00 p.m., will be complemented by a pasta dinner, with the show starting at 7:00 p.m. The second performance, on Dec. 16, features a taco bar lunch at 1:00 p.m., followed by the show at 2:00 p.m. For those who prefer, there is an option to purchase tickets for the show only, without the meal.
