YOP-C takes cruise together

Canyon Lakers from the Young Old Peoples Club got together and boarded the Carnival Radiance for a four-day cruise to Mexico and Catalina Island. The group shared dinner each night together, celebrated two birthdays and an anniversary.

Members of the club surprised others by decorating their stateroom doors in a Halloween theme.

Fourteen members of the club went on the cruise, including John and Calista Grande, Brett and Sue Law, Mark Jones and Aprile McKinnon, Brian and Judith Boch, Cindy Cameron and sister Lori Tatum, David Rasmussen and Lorie Campbell, and the founders of the club Pete and Judy Dorazio.

The group enjoyed playing the on-ship games and took several trophies home, singing a group song together for karaoke with all 14 members and comedy nights. One of the highlights of the trip, they said, was the Steakhouse specialty dinner and restaurant. Another cruise is being planned for the group soon.

The next scheduled club activity is a golf cart/poker run and lunch on Nov. 4 at 10:00 a.m. Deadline to sign up is Monday. This is a YOP-C only event. There are currently 300 members in the club. The club is looking for volunteers for the day of the event.
